Replacing a Bulb to Repair Your JVC TV
Tech 1 are the specialist when it comes to repairing your JVC TV and you live in Sydney. However there are a few things you can do first before calling us…

Most models of JVC television work by projecting a beam of light to convert the compact image at the back into the pictures we see on the screen. However, the bulbs responsible for enhancing your visual experience have limited lifespan; hence, repairing your JVC TV would be necessary after a certain period of time.

Even though you are not a JVC TV repair specialist, you would most likely manage to fix the bulb by yourself without any help from a professional. Such minor repair can be done at the comfort of your own home by following these simple steps. However, make sure you have the tools needed to carry out the procedure such as a screwdriver and microfiber gloves.

Here are the procedures:

  • Buy a replacement bulb from the nearest JVC TV repair specialists or parts stores. To ensure that you will be able to get the right type of bulb, take note of the specific model of your JVC TV or bring a photo to the store. If you can find it, use the lamp code which is usually found at the back of your television. Not all types of television bulbs are compatible with your JVC television, so be specific just to make sure that you get the right type of bulb.
  • Turn the power off, detach the electric cord from the socket, and open the back panel of your television using a screwdriver. Let the bulb cool as this can get terribly hot and handling it would be dangerous. While waiting, you may also want to take this time to assess a variety of other internal parts, so you would have better chances of ensuring that your JVC TV would be repaired successfully.
  • Access the lamp door by unscrewing it. Warning texts are normally printed on the door hence it’s imperative that you read through them to understand what you should do and what you shouldn’t. This is very important in preventing more potential damage to the TV.
  • Remove the lamp from the assembly unit by unscrewing the two screws at the top and lower side of the lamp compartment that are holding it in place using a screw driver. Then lift the entire lamp compartment and dispose of it properly.
  • Insert the replacement lamp into its slot and return it back to its compartment. Screw the lamp back to its original place and reassemble the back panel.

Your television should now be ready to use. However, if the problem persists, then it would be high time to let a professional work on your appliance. So if you’re in this situation why not call Tech 1 Repairs right now on 1300 899 963 and let us help you fix any problems you may be facing.
